I am always bothered by the arguments between theists and atheist
about whether god exists. It is completely pointless! Even though I

Twelve step programs invoking a higher power have varied but
consistent success in the treatment of addictive or compulsive
behaviors. How are these clearly positive approaches viewed by the
atheist community? All of these programs involve spirituality (from
what I can tell), even if the Higher Power is not "God" per se.

Is the Holy Spirit reliable?

We are often told that in order to properly understand the bible, we
need the help of the Holy Spirit. However, it seems that this Spirit
leads different people to different interpretations. Why would this
be? If the Holy Ghost is part of (or the same as or whatever) the one
and only God, why doesn't it lead everyone to the same interpretations?
