OH, SHIT! NOT ANOTHER VELIKOVSKY SEANCE
< During a seance during Bill Clinton's speech at the Democrat National Conventon n Denver last night., we were again able to reach the late, great Dr. Immanuel Velikovsky. < (Granted, he's still a bit bitter about how the pseudoscientists' grandpas persecuted his hallowed name and how today's batch... more »

Question about the title of a story involving an elf

I don't think I ever got to reading it, but if I understood correctly, it was about an alien invasion recon team who worked by possession. IIRC the main character had lost contact wtih the rest of the aliens and was starting to have severe identity issues: He started to like being a... more »

Girl Genius - 8/27/2008
Actually, I can understand where the kessle is coming from. Vassals in a monarchy are always somewhat nervous until the succession is secured. Matchkessle, Matchkessle, make me a match.

Whatever became of the USSR? (Heinlein future history)
Greetings and salutations. I was rereading "The Past Through Tomorrow", the Heinlein collection, which proclaims in the back blurb "For the First Time, all 21 stories, novellas and novels forming Heinlein's monumental Future History are collected together in paperback." I noticed that in "The Man That Sold... more »
