The sting of Labor Day weekend and the end of "summer" (along with the dreaded baseball words "last home stand") is a bit easier to take with the return of college football and the fact that my teams are currently UNDEFEATED!!! My wife got made a permanent employee at the small electronics/optics/ microscopy firm where she'd been temping last week. Took them a whole day to go through all the hiring paperwork.
