I am writing to let TALO know that the second annual HASTAC/MacArthur
Digital Media and Learning Competition is now open. Given your group's
engagement with eLearning, I thought you would be particularly
interested in this year's theme: participatory learning. Participatory
learning includes the many ways that learners (of any age) use new
technologies to participate in virtual communities where they share
ideas, comment upon one another's projects, and plan, design, advance,
implement, or simply discuss their goals and ideas together.
I know that there are people in the TALO network whose lives could be
changed by winning a DML award. We had over 1000 applications last
year, so we're not worried about numbers, but we want the right people
to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
